About: I love film making, cars and diy.

Are you sick and tired of the yellow light that shines down over your number plate at night. Does it make you churn in your seat that other modern cars have these led lights? Step 1: Get the Parts

      You will need:

      1. A Torx bit and driver

      2. 2 x 239 led bulbs

      3. a Volvo xc90

      Step 2: Disassembly

You are going to be taking apart your car so I would suggest you unplug the battery or don’t turn on the lights while you are working on the car.

      1. take your Torx driver and unscrew both lamps

      2. use a very thin flat head screwdriver to pry the lamp away if it is too stuck to remove

      Step 3: Swap the Bulbs

Now swap the bulbs around. Make sure the leds are facing down so they shine onto your number plate.

you will have to use trial and error to make sure they are the right way round as diodes only work one way

      Step 4: Reassembly and Testing

Now put the lights back in a reassemble the lights

Install Scion FR-S OEM Fog Light Kit

Introduction: Install Scion FR-S OEM Fog Light Kit

About: Everything about automotive LED lights

For the US model Scion FR-S, there is no fog lights, before of this, adding fog lights become a priority for FR-S drivers who are looking for a Genuine JDM look. Below we will show you a step by step guide on how to get your Scion FRS OEM fog light kit.

1.) Using a trim removal tool or any flat plastic edge, carefully remove the factory bezel starting from the top.

2.) On the side that you are working on, turn the wheels towards the opposite direction to expose the three (3) clips that hold the fender liner on. Remove these three (3) clips and pull back the fender liner.

3.) Using the supplied harness, route one of the H11 plugs down towards the fog light area. Connect the harness to the fog light.

4.) Install the fog light assembly by first locking in the two tabs on the right into the factory bumper. Use the supplied hardware to mount the screw into the bumper with a Phillips head screw driver.

5.) Install the bezel trim over the newly installed assembly.

6.) Repeat the same steps on the opposite side.

7.) Connect the relay harness positive and negative wires to the car battery directly.

8.) Open up your fuse box and use a test light to find out which open fuse slot provides power when the vehicle is on. With this knowledge, connect the red wire from the switch to this power source (you may have to extend the wires for it to reach). Doing this will allow you to only turn on the fog lights only if the vehicle is on to prevent you from accidentally leaving them on if you are not using the car. For an easy installation, you can directly connect the white wire to the desired fuse slot so whenever the vehicle is on, the fog lights will automatically turn on with it.

9.) Enjoy your new factory fit Scion FR-S Fog Lamps!

          Step 1:

This is a very helpful video walk through by user AzuluzA on how to install the JDM rear fog light on a Subaru WRX. Installing the iJDMTOY LED rear fog lamp version is the same concept.

          Step 2:

When you get to the part on wiring up your new LED rear fog light/backup light, you will notice there are several wires as well as a 7440 harness for installation.

The side of the assembly with the 7440 harness is to be installed facing downward.

          Step 3:

For the harness, tap the red wire to the existing tail light positive and the black wire to the ground or taillight negative.

          Step 4:

There are two extra wires behind the LED rear fog light (red/white). Tap red wire to brake light positive to activate brake light and tap white wire to backup reverse light positive to activate reverse lights.

          Step 5:

Fit the bracket included in the package onto the LED rear fog light and then mount the new Subaru LED rear fog light exactly the same way as you would the OEM version.

This is how you attach the bracket onto the Subaru LED rear fog light:

Insert the screws into the openings that are diagonal from each other. Secure the screws. Then take the fastener clip and attach it to the side of the bracket that is facing towards the driver side.

You will not need to attach a clip onto the passenger side of the bracket.

          Step 6:

Test to make sure everything works and enjoy your new Subaru LED 4th brake light.

IJDMTOY Subaru WRX LED Rear Fog Light Installation

Introduction: IJDMTOY Subaru WRX LED Rear Fog Light Installation

About: Everything about automotive LED lights

The Subaru WRX has practically exploded in popularity and seems to climb in the ranks of the car industry year by year. While the majority of WRX owners are completely satisfied with their ride, one feature that’s notably missing from US models Subaru WRX is actually a functioning rear fog light. Fortunately, it’s easy to install a set of Subaru WRX Rear Fog Lamp with taillight, brake light, and reverse light function. You’ll soon have a sweet new JDM style look in absolutely no time.

            Step 1:

Remove the clips underneath the bumper so you can gain access to the fear fog lamp location.

            Step 2:

Remove the plastic piece at the rear fog lamp location.

            Step 3:

Directly replace with your new Subaru LED Rear Fog Light. Just insert your new JDM Rear Fog Light For Subaru and lock the assembly into place from the back.

            Step 4:

Fit the bracket included in the package onto the LED rear fog light and then mount the new Subaru LED rear fog light exactly the same way as you would the OEM version.

This is how you attach the bracket onto the Subaru LED rear fog light:

Insert the screws into the openings that are diagonal from each other. Secure the screws. Then take the fastener clip and attach it to the side of the bracket that is facing towards the driver side.

You will not need to attach a clip onto the passenger side of the bracket.

            Step 5:

Time to move to the wiring portion.

This product comes with a free 7440 harness for installation. Do note that you’ll be installing the side with the 7440 harness facing down.

            Step 6:

Remove the trunk carpet liner and draw the wires up through the trunk and out through the firewall hole.

            Step 7:

Tap the white wire to reverse light positive.

From the 7440 harness, tap the red wire to taillight positive and the black wire to taillight negative or ground.

            Step 8:

This particular Subaru WRX has installed a tail-as-turn module for taillights. You can see the tail-as-turn resistor highlighted in the red square.

This additional resistor creates two issues:
            – Whenever the turn signal is activated, the taillight function of the LED rear fog light will blink.
-Resistor uses up excessive power so the LED rear fog light will not be as bright.

For this reason, we cannot tap the brake light wire to the existing brake lamp. We can bypass this issue by tapping the brake light function wire to the OEM 3rd brake light.

Draw the red wire (brake light function) from the LED rear fog light up behind the trunk liner all the way to the OEM 3rd brake light. Now tap the red wire to the OEM 3rd brake light.

This process fixes the LED rear fog light blinking issue as well as makes the power strong enough for maximum brightness.

OTHERWISE, if your Subaru WRX does not have an additional tail-as-turn module, you can just easily tap the red wire to the brake light positive.

            Step 9:

Test to make sure all the functions work properly and put all the components back in place.

            Step 10:

Enjoy your new Subaru LED Rear Fog Light – your Subaru WRX will definitely be very unique on the road since the US auto market does not require fog lights on cars. You’ll gain a very stylish look and have tons of extra safety features all in one.

              Step 1:

Remove the stock rear reflector. There are a two clips under the rear bumper that need to be removed.

              Step 2:

Remove the screws holding onto the rear reflector. You’ll need a #10 screw.

              Step 3:

Pull out the stock rear reflector.

              Step 4:

              Remove the trunk liner.

              Step 5:

Zip-tie the ends of the Nissan Juke LED rear fog light wires so it will be easier to route the wires up later on.

              Step 6:

Route the wires of the LED rear fog light up through the gap in the trunk liner.

You can have a friend help you pull the wires up through the trunk liner while you push the wires through simultaneously.

              Step 7:

Insert the new Nissan Juke LED rear fog lamp in place.

              Step 8:

Bolt back the Nissan Juke LED LED rear fog light to secure.

              Step 9:

Remove one taillight. You will need to route and tap the wires to get the new LED rear fog light to work.

You can see the wires routed through the gap in the trunk liner and up into the taillight location.

              Step 10:

Strip the wires. We recommend you to hardwire instead of using T-Taps.

You may not have enough space to use T-Taps and they are generally not secure .

Tap the wires of the LED rear fog lights according to the function on the vehicle. Since the vehicle in this installation has aftermarket taillights installed, we figured out which bulb corresponded to which wire on the LED rear fog light.

If you still have your stock taillights, you can follow the wiring instructions that’s on the labeling on the LED rear fog light.

Then wrap the wires with some black tape to secure the connections.

              Step 11:

Put back the trunk liner and all the components the same way it was removed.

              Step 12:

Test to make sure everything works and enjoy your new Nissan Juke Nismo JDM Rear Fog Light!

Introduction: IJDMTOY Ford Mustang LED Rear Fog Light Installation

About: Everything about automotive LED lights

The Ford Mustang has been an iconic American sports car ever since its inception and represents the American dream. The Mustang has undergone several generation changes, with each generation receiving performance and stylistic upgrades to suit the car enthusiasts. One feature that is missing from this 2015-up generation is a working rear fog light and while the rear fog light is not a requirement in the United States market, it’s still a great feature to have on the vehicle.

Owners can install a Ford Mustang LED rear fog light with taillight, brake light, and reverse light function. This will enable the rear fog light area to have multiple functions and be both unique and safe on the road.

                  Step 1:

Remove the stock reverse light bulb and take out the stock reverse lamp assembly.

                  Step 2:

There are two screws under the bumper that need to be removed.

Once you remove the screws you will have just enough hand space in the bumper location to remove the stock reverse lamp assembly.

There are also two screws at the top of the assembly that are harder to access. Just be patient when you’re removing them.

                  Step 3:

Now directly install the new LED rear fog light for Ford Mustang.

                  Step 4:

Time to move on to the wiring portion in the trunk area.

There’s 4 knobs located on the trunk edges that need to be twisted off.

                  Step 5:

Now remove the trunk liner. You will expose the firewall hole with a seal where you’ll be routing the wires through.

                  Step 6:

Time to wire up your new LED rear fog light for Ford Mustang.

The assembly has four wires, but you’ll only need to draw up three wires through the firewall hole: black, red, yellow. The white wire will be left below.

Tap the WHITE WIRE to existing reverse light green wire for reverse light function.

Tap the BLACK wire to metal ground.

Tap the RED WIRE to the driver’s side taillight blue wire w/ purple strip for taillight function.

Tap the YELLOW WIRE to OEM 3rd brake light.

The YELLOW WIRE is very important! The yellow wire/brake light function is quite complication because of the mechanics on the Mustang. The Mustang has a unique design of the original taillight because it functions as taillight, brake light, and turn signal light. If you tap the yellow wire to the driver’s side, it will result in the LED rear fog light blinking when the driver’s side turn signal is on. In order to prevent this, we must route the yellow wire up to the OEM 3rd brake light near the roof of the car.

                  Step 7:

Remove the trunk liner to begin routing the yellow wire. There are a few clips that hold onto the trunk liner that need to be removed as well.

                  Step 8:

Remove the backseat panel, pillar panel, and roof panel. You’ll need to route the yellow wire in through those locations up to the 3rd brake light.

                  Step 9:

After you open the panels, you can see the existing 3rd brake light’s yellow wire. Draw the LED rear fog light’s yellow wire up behind the panels and tap it to the OEM 3rd brake light.

Afterwards, just close all the panels, put the trunk liner and all the components back.

                  Step 10:

Test to make sure the functions work. Enjoy your new Ford Mustang LED rear fog light!

                    Step 1:

The first thing that you want to do is to turn the wheel towards the opposite side that you are working on. If you are working on the driver side, turn the wheel to the right and if you are working on the passenger side, turn the wheel to the left. Once this is done take a Phillips head screw driver and start to take off the bolts holding the plastic cover.

                    Step 2:

After the bolts are taken off, pull the plastic cover towards you to expose the OEM bulbs.

                    Step 3:

Unplug the foglights and directly pull out the Toyota Tundra’s OEM fog light housing.

                    Step 4:

Moving on to assembling the LED fog light brackets, insert this top mount bracket into the fog lights and bolt the two ends together. After this is assemble, put the bolt and washer into the top opening of the bracket like so.

                    Step 5:

Make sure that the bolt is sticking out of the LED fog light and attach it to this plate ensuring that the bolt goes in between the metal holder.

                    Step 6:

Now that it’s on, tightly secure the bolts with a wrench like so.

                    Step 7:

Now that the assembly is complete we move on to the Tundra. Take the first layer of the metal brackets and attach into the OEM holes.

                    Step 8:

Take the newly assembled LED fog light and put it in its new housing and put the wires through.

                    Step 9:

Line up the LED fog light assembly and the first layer of the metal plates together. Then take the third layer of the metal bracket and loosely screw in the 4 bolts through all 3 layers to allow for adjustments. Once adjusted then tightly screw the screws into place.

                    Step 10:

Now, plugging everything together. Take the new iJDMTOY LED fog light wiring and attach it to the OEM fog light wires. Test everything before putting the plastic cover back on and screwing it back into place.

                    Step 11:

This direct replacement Toyota Tundra LED Fog Lamp Kit is a very simple install using only a few tools to get the job done. This changes the front look of the car and when turned on, makes you more noticeable on the road and gives you the ability to see further.
